The Waterloo Eye Institute (WEI) Fall Conference & Trade Show is a multi-day continuing education event for optometrists and optometric staff, taking place November 6-8, 2026 in Markham, Ontario at the Hilton Markham Suites & Conference Centre.

Registration options include up to 20 hours of COPE-accredited continuing education lectures and access to the trade show for Optometrists. Please include your OE Tracker # in the "Additional Notes" section, if applicable.

Early Bird registration ends on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

The Optometric Staff Program is designed for optometric assistants, ophthalmic technicians, office managers and front desk staff, and is offered as part of the Waterloo Eye Institute (WEI) Fall Conference and Trade Show. Registration includes 6 hours of CCOA continuing education and access to the trade show. 

• The Group Rate for the Optometric Staff Program applies when two or more staff from the same office or clinic register, and offers a $25 per person savings. Each participant must register separately (one attendee per form). Please include your office or clinic name in the "Additional Notes" section to confirm eligibility.

If you are a UWaterloo employee or student and your department will be covering your event registration fees, please contact  School of Optometry Continuing Education to complete your registration. Please note that expense reimbursement claims for this conference registration are not permitted, except for FPER‑related reimbursements.

Saturday Evening Social Pass 
The Lost Faculties are coming out of retirement for a special performance at the WEI Fall Conference & Trade Show social event. Join us on Saturday, November 7, at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Hotel & Conference Centre for an evening of live music, networking, and celebration. The evening begins with a reception featuring drinks and appetizers at 6:30 p.m., followed by the concert at 8:30 p.m. Whether you're reconnecting with colleagues, catching up with friends, or simply coming for the music, this promises to be a memorable night.

Conference registration includes the Saturday Evening Social Pass; guests not attending the conference may purchase a Social Pass separately. 

Refund policy: The registration fee, less a $25 service charge, will be refunded if cancellation request is received by email at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the event (October 23, 2026).
