Each year students enrolled in REC 120, Experience Design and Delivery, participate in a mandatory overnight retreat at a camp facility. Registration is required and there is a fee to cover accommodation, meals and transportation. This fee is in lieu of a required textbook for the course. Bus transportation is provided to and from the camp from Parking Lot M beside EXP building at University of Waterloo.

The retreat provides an opportunity to participate in recreation programming led by the camp facilitators which will then be assessed in the course. It also provides an opportunity to get to know your fellow students in a leisure setting.

Only purchase this trip if you are enrolled in the REC 120 Fall 2025 course.

Medical insurance coverage required. Please provide the answers to the following questions in the additional notes field: 

• Are you on the UW Student Supplementary Health Plan (i.e. part of tuition fees paid)? Yes/No
• If you are NOT on the UW health plan, please list the name(s) and policy number(s) of other health insurance (e.g. coverage under parents' policy, etc.).

If you are paying for more than one student, please complete a separate transaction for each student to ensure that appropriate student information is recorded.

Refunds for the retreat will only be honoured if requested in writing and if approved by the Course Instructor or Department Administrator (supporting documentation for trip withdrawal may be requested).
